Fascia and Soffit

Fascia and Soffits boards are the boards that sit at the very bottom of a roof or the perimeter of the roof. The Fascia and Soffit are the two most important parts of the roof.

It is hugely important to look after your Fascia and Soffit. As alot of houses have wooden Fascia which if not treated properly can become rotten. The rot in the wood can then spread and do damage to your rafters in the roof. This inevitably leads to leaks and repairs can be very costly if left too long.

Calling out an expert to review your Fascia and Soffits and give you a quote if needed can in the long run save you thousands of euro.

The soffit is the exposed surface beneath the overhanging section of a roof. Part of the function of the soffit is to assist in ventilating the attic. The fascia is a vertical finishing edge connected to the ends of the rafters, trusses, or the area where the gutter is attached to the roof. The primary role of the fascia is to act as a layer between the edge of the roof and the outdoors, and is meant to protect the wooden board against water damage that can occur during certain weather conditions.

With Embassy Guttering we offer PVC fascia and soffit, which comes in the colours black, white and brown allowing you to match it with your windows, doors or walls.

Inadequately protected roof areas can be particularly vulnerable to wood rot or fungus, causing expensive and time-consuming repairs.
